List three books that have had an impact on you. Why?
Since I started reading, every book I read had impacted me positively in one way or the other. Giving a direct answer to this question by listing just three books is really putting me in a tight corner. Because to me, every book has it’s lesson and what it impacts to the reader for proficiency and understanding of himself first and the world at large.
The three books are;
1. The Richest Man In Babylon ( George Clason)
While I was reading this book, the things I had been doing wrong were laid bare and gazing at me. This book thought me that being wealthy or poor is a thing of the mindset, to become rich is achievable depending on how you manage the little little income at first, and whatever you earn, no matter how small it is, always put aside a percentage for the future.
2. The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People (Stephen Covey)
You know, before you get to where you want to go or be who you want to be, you need to know what it takes, and what sacrifices to make to actualize it. It can be reading the right book to boost your intellect, meeting and associating with a caliber of people with a positive attitude, wisdom, and knowledge that will be a great influence on you. Highly effective people have this ambiance accrued to them. They have an alluring charisma that always gets people attached to them, but mostly those who know what they want and want to get it.
3. Why You Act The Way You Do ( Tim Lahaye)
This is a book about temperament. temperament, in psychology, is an aspect of personality concerned with emotional dispositions and reactions and their speed and intensity; the term often is used to refer to the prevailing mood or mood pattern of a person. We have four primary temperaments, Melancholic, Sanguine, Choleric, and Phlegmatic. The blend of these temperaments is known as the secondary temperament. The reason you think and behave the way you do, the reason you don’t like social gatherings or making new friends is because of your temperament, you think you are not good enough, that others are better than you, with that mindset you are always withdrawn because you fear rejection. This book not only enlighten on temperaments, but also elucidated on how to embrace and manage our temperaments.
What book had an impact on you? I want to know too!!
