If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?
I cried my eyes out the day I saw the Sarafina movie. The movie was just the tip of the iceberg compared to their sufferings because I can’t begin to imagine what the South Africans went through in the 20th century.
Nelson Mandela stood his ground and fought against the racist apartheid system in his homeland and ensured equality and freedom for all. Though he suffered terribly to make this happen, he was fearless and fought to the last.
For his victory in ending the apartheid activity in South Africa, he was elected the first president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.
I so much admire this man for his courage, determination, selfless service, and big heart.
