What historical event fascinates you the most?
The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World to date remain the most fascinating historical event for me. It is the oldest known list of this type documenting the most remarkable man-made creations of classical antiquity.
1️⃣ Great Pyramid of Giza.
2️⃣ Hanging Gardens of Babylon .
3️⃣ Temple of Artemis at Ephesus.
4️⃣ Statue of Zeus at Olympia.
5️⃣ Mausoleum at Halicarnassus (also known as the Mausoleum of Mausolus)
6️⃣ Colossus of Rhodes.
7️⃣ Lighthouse of Alexandria.
The number seven was chosen because the Greeks believed in represented perfection and plenty and because it reflected the number of planets known in ancient times (five) plus the sun and moon.
