Share one of the best gifts you’ve ever received.
Sometimes the most life changing gifts doesn’t come with price tags, or in a box with ribbons and can’t be held in your hands, but they stay with you forever.
One of the best gifts I’ve ever received wasn’t what I asked for or what I expected. It didn’t come with any celebration; it came quietly and unexpectedly in a moment I needed it the most. It was a period I couldn’t even fend for myself because I was physically and mentally down.
The gift was kindness. Someone showed me kindness and took care of me when I was seriously sick. A total stranger from no where noticed my discomfort and distress and out of his magnanimous heart, he chose to help me.

It takes not just a good heart but an understanding one to be kind to others. To be kind to people is a personal choice you have to make. Even if you are told to be kind to people as often as our parents and teachers make us to understand the importance of kindness, you can only be kind from your heart if you genuinely want to be kind.
We live in a world where kindness is underrated because of the atrocious behaviors of people who have inculcated the belief that kindness is a waste of time because most people don’t value it and sometimes turn it against you. Some see kindness as weakness, others see it as a pretense in order to get something in return.
That day made me believe that there are still genuine people out there, that there are still people who can genuinely help you because you needed it and won’t demand anything in return.

What made this gift so special wasn’t just the help itself, but the timing. It came when I needed it most. It reminded me that sometimes we all borrow strength from others until we build our own.
Till now, I’ve realized something profound:The greatest gifts in life are not possessions — they are moments, words, and people that change how we see ourselves.
Because of that gift, I try to do the same for others now. A kind word, a reminder of someone’s strength, or simply showing up when they feel alone can become a turning point in their story.
If you think about it, you’ve probably received a gift like this too — encouragement, love, support, forgiveness, or even a second chance.
And maybe, without realizing it, you’ve also been that gift for someone else.
The best gifts don’t just make you happy for a moment. They change you… forever.

Yes, I’ve read in the book that the best things in life aren’t things, so it’s the same with gifts. While yours is kindness, my answer would be love. Beautiful answer, dimmajo
Love is everything Hazel. Thank you for your thoughtfulness ❤️
My pleasure, dimmajo
When either of my two closest friends drop by for some tea and laughs. It means the world to me… hugs
That’s amazing Wiwohka. There is nothing more valuable than such friendship.
Kindness is a virtue. If you ever received it, don’t hesitate to give it back. Be kind, even when you don’t get it back ❤️
