Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Sometimes, this question can feel heavier than it sounds.
“Where do you see yourself in 10 years?”
It seems simple, almost routine. But when you really think about it, it’s not always easy to answer. Not because you lack dreams or direction. Not because you’re afraid of growth. But because life itself is unpredictable.

We plan. We dream. We map out our future with so much hope. Yet, life has a way of unfolding differently.
I’ve come to understand this on a deeply personal level.
Using my elder brother as an example, I know he had plans. I know he had goals, dreams, and a vision for his life. He knew where he wanted to go and what he wanted to become. But in a moment—so sudden and unexpected—everything changed. His life was cut short, and the reality of that loss is something we are still trying to live with.
That experience changed how I see the future.
It made me realize that while it’s beautiful to dream about tomorrow, it’s even more important to value today. Because the truth is, no matter how detailed our plans are, we don’t control everything.
And that brings me to what truly matters to me now: peace.
Yes, I want more from life.
Yes, I want to grow, to succeed, to build a better future.
Yes, I want to achieve my dreams and live a life I once imagined.
But above all these things, I want a future where peace exists.
A future where my mind is calm.
Where my mental health is stable.
Where I am not constantly overwhelmed, anxious, or drained.
A life where I feel safe within myself.
Because what is success without peace?
What is achievement if your mind is constantly at war?
So when I think about where I see myself in 10 years, my answer is different now.
I see someone who has grown—not just in success, but in strength.
I see someone who has learned to protect their peace at all costs.
I see someone who is living intentionally, appreciating every moment, and not taking life for granted.
I may not know every detail of what my life will look like. I may not be able to predict the exact path I will take. But one thing I know for sure is this:
I will be someone I am proud of.
I will be someone who didn’t give up.
I will be someone who chose peace, even in a chaotic world.
And in 10 years from now, I believe—with everything in me—that I will be everything I have imagined and wanted to be… not just in achievements, but in wholeness.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about where you end up.
It’s about how you feel when you get there. 🌿
