Why Worry

When I look up the sky seeing the birds fly so freely with nothing to worry about life or about what to feed.

It reminds me of the promise of God, “You don’t have to worry about what to eat, I will provide for you just like the birds in the air”

But most times,

We worry about the smallest things

We worry about the biggest things

We worry about things we ought not to worry about

We always have things that occupy our minds every day, every hour, and every minute.

If we could just pause and breathe, if we could just give ourselves a break, if we could just let things be, I believe our mental health will always be smiling on us.

We worry about both the things we have control of and the ones we don’t have control of.

I believe so much in this saying that when things are not going your way, maybe God is preparing a better one for you, or He is removing from you what is not meant for you, so that what is meant for you can come to you.

Most times, my heart is heavy, but I don’t even know how to express what I am feeling, but I try as much as possible to be grateful, if not for anything, but for the grace to be alive.

This is my favourite quote by Helen Keller that I hold so dear, and I will leave it with you.

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often, we stare so long at the closed door that we do not see the new one that has been opened for us”

  1. Solid text; quite often, as a sensitive being myself, I’m having a hard time letting go of painting and also memoiring my China times.. things went so quick, hard to remember little things like a Starbucks date or whatever…

  2. Such a beautiful reminder that faith and gratitude can bring peace even in uncertain times. Sometimes letting go and trusting God is the greatest form of strength. 🦋✨

  3. There is a lot of peace in simply trusting that not everything needs to be figured out today. Your message is a good reminder of that.
