Me And My Thoughts

Whenever sleep eludes me, I feel like talking to someone, nothing serious, just simple talks and chatting about nothing in particular, just gist and smiles and laughter. Small talk that will take my mind off any other thing else at the moment.

But then….the what if emerges like an uninvited tornado..

What if they are not in the mood

What if they are already asleep

What if they don’t want to talk

What if they just want to rest

Then, suddenly, I remembered I have a great family, friends, and amazing readers and writers here. Sitting on my reading table, clutching my phone with my glasses still on, and the night so calm and quiet, I decided to come and pour out my heart to you.

Some days, my heart is full, and I would really want to talk about anything I think about, it can be serious talk, it can be funny and it can also be just mere jokes

Other times, when I feel this way, I just want to be in my solitude, with me and my thoughts battling ourselves as if we are in a debate competition awaiting a price.

But do I enjoy those moments I share with others….yes I do

Do I enjoy my solitude… absolutely yes

To be sincere, I can’t remember what actually triggered this post, but I feel like writing something, saying what’s actually going on in my mind.

I believe that the majority of people do experience this, and if you do, I want you to tell me that I am not alone on this

That is the only confirmation I need right now.

Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed and have a lot on your mind, but still don’t know how or want to express it verbally?

Thanks for hearing me out ❤️

  1. Yes this does happen!
Our minds can become the most peaceful and also the most cruel shelter for us. In both cases there’s growth in the end. Especially when we sit with the mind full of thoughts that are opposing each other, we become more and more resilient than before.
Writing your thoughts in the form of blog posts can be a good coping mechanism.
If there are some thoughts that you don’t Wana jot down here, write them on a paper and burn it or throw it . This can also ease your mind.

  2. There is a quiet wisdom in what you have expressed. The desire to speak and the desire for solitude are not contradictions; both can arise from the same inner need to be present with oneself.

Sometimes the heart seeks another heart, not for answers, but simply for companionship. At other times, silence becomes the most truthful conversation. Neither state needs to be judged or resisted.

The deeper spiritual lesson is to become comfortable with both connection and solitude. When the mind is restless, we often look outside for someone to fill the silence; but gradually we discover that silence itself can become a companion.

And perhaps the question is not, “Am I alone?” but rather, “Can I remain at peace even when I am alone?”

When one learns to sit quietly with one’s own thoughts without running from them, solitude ceases to be emptiness. It becomes a space in which the inner voice can finally be heard.

May the heart find joy in companionship, and may it find equal peace in its own sacred silence. 🙏
