What’s the best advice you’d give to someone younger than you?
The bedtime advice is not actually the one we give, but they are the one that people experience themselves. Experience has a way of making people have an indelible memory of what had happened to them that taught them a great lesson.
Hence the saying: experience is the best teacher.
If I were to give someone younger than me a piece of advice, I believe it wouldn’t just be just one or two, because I would definitely have loads of them to dish out.
Here is the list of advice I would give to someone younger than me. 😎
• Know yourself and know who you are
• Believe in yourself
• Trust your instincts always
• Always do the right thing
• Put in your best in anything you do, whether big or small.
• No one is coming to save you.
• Have a personal relationship with God
• Give whenever you can, but be wise
•Always set healthy boundaries
• Take care of yourself because no one will do it better than you.
• Respect and listen to those who know more than you and learn from them.
• Be humble. Be kind. Be alert.
• Your peace of mind is your greatest treasure; don’t trade it for anything.
• Know your rights, but don’t step on the wrong foot.
• Keep learning, keep growing, because knowledge is power
• Learn to say NO without feeling guilty.
• Always ask questions, because the more you know, the more you know you know nothing
• The world is not a bed of roses
• You are the love of your life, yes, you are the absolute love of your life.
I believe if you are truly the love of your life, if you genuinely care and love yourself, I believe you will do anything humanly possible and more to grow and to become a better version of yourself.
